Terri B. North, President & CEO
Terri serves as the President/CEO of Providence and is responsible for working with the board on the strategic direction of the organization. A founding member of the organization, Ms. North was appointed to this role by the Board of Directors in 2011. She serves as the leader of the organization, promoting the work of Providence in the community through our strategic partnerships and business development projects. Prior to Providence, she served in a dual-role as a consultant for both the Archdiocese of New Orleans and Christopher Homes, Ms. North managed the refinancing and rehabilitation of 13 Section 202 Housing properties (1,200 units) serving the low-income elderly population. She also facilitated the development and implementation of an Archdiocesan Strategic Plan for over 72 elementary schools.
Terri is Vice Chair of the Enterprise Community Leadership Council, Vice President of the Louisiana Association of Affordable Housing Providers Board of Directors, a member of the Louisiana Housing Corporation’s Housing and Transportation Planning and Coordinating Commission, serves on the Board of Directors of Chateau de Notre Dame Nursing Home, and is a member of the Advisory Council for Urban Land Institute Louisiana.
She is a member of the eighth class of NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a 2017 Young Leadership Council Role Model.
A graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Terri and her husband Mike have two children, are avid Saints fans and call River Ridge home.
Lisa Sammons, Vice President of Finance / Controller
Lisa oversees and manages Providence’s financial activities. She is a native New Orleanian with 21+ years of diverse experience in the accounting and finance fields. She has been with Providence for 9 years in the accounting and finance area. Prior to her association with Providence, Lisa was employed as the financial controller for a manufacturing and export company. Additionally, she was previously employed by an international CPA firm as an auditor and has held senior financial analyst positions for both public and private companies in various industries.
Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Loyola University in New Orleans and is a certified public accountant.
